It is another hot day across Texas with Heat Indices reaching or exceeding 110*F across parts of North Texas today. We have one more day of VERY hot weather before a cold front drops temperatures back to normal this weekend. This front will also bring a chance for thunderstorms, especially on Saturday. The weakness in the ridge will continue next week. This will keep temperatures decent, at least by late July/early August standards. A disturbance could impact the region mid to late next week with a better chance for showers and storms. We will keep an eye on this as we get closer.
On the bright side, we are only one month away from the start of meteorological fall. We are also about two months away from the beginning of the fall severe weather season.
