It certainly has been a strange August. I enjoy taking photographs of thunderstorms, lightning, and just weather in general. I have been able to get more pictures this month than all of spring. Yesterday’s storms produced frequent cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud lightning. Check out this picture from Saturday night!
Many Texans saw some much-needed rain from Saturday’s thunderstorms. A majority of North Texans saw at least .25" of rain from this event. Others saw between 4-8 inches with locally heavier amounts. These rainfall amounts are amazing, especially in August of all months.
