Multiple Reports Of Wind Damage In North Texas Late Saturday

10:20 PM CDT | August 12, 2017

The severe threat is winding down this evening with Heavy Rain, Lightning, and Gusty Winds the main hazards. Localized Flooding is also possible. Wind Damage has been seen near Sweetwater, Sadler, Sherman, and Van Zandt. There were two Tornado-Warned storms today. One was in Northwest Texas, to the south of Seymour or northwest of Graham, and the other was near Van Zandt. Some delayed storm reports will probably arrive over the next day, and if any storm surveys are done by the National Weather Service, the results will be shared on the blog. The last Tornado to occur in North Central Texas during the month of August was in 1988. Please keep those impacted by today’s storms in your thoughts and prayers.
