60 Degree Difference Across The State This Afternoon

3:45 PM CST | February 15, 2019

As promised, there is a HUGE difference in temperatures this afternoon! It is 29*F in Pampa right now, but well to the south, it is 93*F in McAllen. Crazy stuff happens in Texas, doesn't it? Dallas-Fort Worth is enjoying temperatures in the mid and upper-60*F's. Waco is in the upper-80*F's right now. The colder air will push southward this evening and overnight. Overnight lows will range from the low-20*F's in Amarillo, to the mid-30*F's across Dallas-Fort Worth, to the upper-50*F's in San Antonio and Houston.

Chillier weather is expected for more of the state on Saturday, but West Central/South Texas will heat up once again in the afternoon. This is a loop from one our latest hi-res models. Please keep in mind that it is just a model, but it does give you a good idea of the temperature difference from 6:00 PM this evening to 6:00 PM tomorrow evening.
