I just wanted to share one of the pictures from last weekend. Like most weather enthusiasts, I enjoy taking pictures of the sky, clouds, storms - basically ANYTHING weather-related. Storms can be powerful and ominous, but even the "weak" ones can be incredible to the eye. This is a picture of one of last week's strong storms. It was in the vicinity of Rhome & Justin. It was not severe-warned at the time, but it was definitely dropping some heavy rain and likely some small hail and gusty winds. I did not see much lightning with the cell, though.
I did "enhance" the picture to show off greater detail. It is amazing how much more you can distinguish by adding some contrast and even a filter. You can click on the image for a larger view. Anyway, I just thought I would share this with you all. I have no doubt that there will be more pictures on the way as we get into the heart of the season. As always, you can also find Texas Storm Watch on Facebook. To help make sure you do not miss any updates, LIKE the Facebook page and join the Facebook group.
