Damaging thunderstorms impacted Texas and Oklahoma yesterday. Early last night, after 10:00 PM, severe thunderstorms produced a tornado that struck El Reno, Oklahoma. To those who may not be familiar where this city is located, it is just west of Oklahoma City and is considered part of the greater OKC metroplex. It was only on the ground for approximately four minutes according to meteorologists. It traveled 2.2 miles in that period and wreaked havoc across the city. Aerial images show a mobile home park which suffered significant damage. An apartment complex and several other structures were badly damaged as well. Unfortunately, two lives were lost by the tornado. I have attached some media of the damage below.
